In the past 10 years exporting experience of metal construction products, we've known that customers has very different requests for surface treatment.  And the most popular treatment we offered sre : hot-dip galvanizing, sherardizing, mechanical galvanizing and electro-galvanizing, each have their own advantages.

There are four main types for surface treatment: hot-dip galvanizing, sherardizing, mechanical galvanizing and electro-galvanizing, each have their own advantages.The main purpose of surface treatment is aesthetics and anti-corrosion.

The choice of which surface treatment technology to use, is depends on the product's usage environment, performance requirements and cost considerations. Electroplating technology is suitable for occasions with high requirements for the quality and uniformity of the coating, such as high-end jewelry and precision parts. Hot-dip galvanizing technology is more suitable for outdoor large components with extremely high requirements of corrosion resistance. Mechanical galvanized is low cost and environmental friendliness, performs well in occasions where cost performance is pursued. Sherardizing is particularly suitable for the surface anti-corrosion treatment process of fasteners for example MS nuts and bolts, small hardware products, complex-shaped workpieces and powder metallurgy products.

So, customer need to tell supplier what thickness you want clearly if you want accurate price, because the span of zinc thickness is large.

Back to the building materials we supplied, most of them are electro galvanized, for example formwork tie nut, scaffold coupler, scaffold jack, scaffold prop, scaffold ringlock parts, etc. Also, many hot dip galvanized, like formwork nut, scaffold jack, scaffold coupler, MS diamond dowel plate, OEM construction metal product. Sherardizing is for pipe lock and other embedded metal parts. Mechanical galvanizing is for construction nails.
